Identity V.S Multi National

My dad and I had a debate yesterday.

My dad was fed-up with too many foreigners in our country.
And he said this: "Korea got Koreans. America got Americans. Singapore? Singaporean? NOT AT ALL. Is Multi National."

He thinks that foreigners are here to steal our jobs.
Foreigners are here to steal our space.
Foreigners are here to steal our food.
Foreigners are here to steal everything.

True. Even in education wise, foreigners always stands out more than Singaporeans.
Competition to get a job is also very high.
Especially, right now.

People (Bosses) would rather hired someone cheaper than someone that has slightly higher pay.

But their perspectives are TOTALLY WRONG.

Cos government always said that they are encouraging older generations of Singaporeans to work as well.

And instead, these older Singaporeans don't get a job while the foreigners get it.
So I guess that is why my dad is pissed off at.

And I do agree with him for this point.
Bosses should put Singaporeans as first priority instead of the foreigners.
And they should change their mindset about foreigners being more hard working than Singaporeans.

Maybe at some point of time, Singaporeans do not work as hard as foreigners.
But that is the past.
And they should not assume (making a ASS OUT OF U n ME) that Singaporeans, because of the past reputation, they are not as hard working even till today.

Parents, Teachers, Monks.
They always said that "Everyone deserve a second chance"

And that means we need to give a second chance to everyone.
Even those people who went to prison before.

"A Leopard will never change its spots"

TRUE.
People can never change overnight.
BUT people CAN CHANGE over time.

If you didn't notice,
YOU, YOURSELF, changes over time too.

Am I right?

So if you're able to change,
Why can't the rest change?

And having foreigners here can be unsafe.
Molesting. Raping. Robbing. Murdering.
Mostly are foreigners.

Am I right?

And that is our perspectives about foreigners right?

So thats is where my debating came in.

Most of us viewed foreigners these way.
Have we given them a second chance?
Have we pulled the whole ship down, due to the bads and killing the goods as well?

Are we prejudiced against them?
Are we having this stigma due to our parents generations thinkings?

What will the future generations think?
Same way? Or they will have their own perspectives?

What we learnt from parents.
What we learnt in school.
What we learnt from our religion.

Are we making a sin or we meant for good?

Just because they are black, so that means they are lower than the whites?

We are humans.
Why are there so many castes?

We are humans.
And so we are the same.

In conclusion, foreigners that are good can come in Singapore.
While the bad can come in too.

But they should put up with a system that foreigners being HERE in SINGAPORE.
Should act as a civilised citizen.
And if they did anything bad, they get a more serious punishments.

And Singapore will be safe.

And as for job wise.
Singaporeans should be given first priority.

Because we need to have our OWN IDENTITY.
ALSO to have a Multi National thinking as well. =)
